Movember Manicure

Hello everyone. It has been a long absence but I have a fun manicure to share with you. I was sent some adorable mustache charms from KKcenterHk which were perfect for the fun Movember theme that so many guys take part in each November.

I'm in love with these charms! They have great color, shape and are super strong. Each charm is slightly arched, which allowed it to lay pretty flat on my nails, which was a nice change from nail charms I've reviewed before. I wanted to keep this manicure simple so the mustache would get all the attention. I used my favorite gold from Orly, Glitz & Glamour along with Sinful Colors Snow Me White.

A Flower Kind of Day

Hello all! I've been so in love with doing flower nail art lately. I think its the hot weather, it's been in the 100's here, and the overall happy thoughts summer brings. So here is a cute flower manicure I wore over the weekend.

Taa-da! Happy flowers and tiny polka dots. I got lots of compliments on this manicure, which always makes me feel great. I also switched up the polka dots with smaller ones, I usually do bigger dots, and I really like the outcome.

Then and Now Nail Art

A few weeks back I saw some really neat posts pop up about fellow nail bloggers sharing their "Then and Now" nail art. Such a simple idea, yet really shows yourself, and other people, how far you have come with your nail art and photography. So I searched through some of my old nail art pictures and found a manicure I thought would be perfect for this then and now theme.

Below is a manicure, that at the time, I thought was one of my best. I had just started nail art and branching out with different designs. With fun blue and white stripes and beautiful flowers, how could people not love this? Wow, was I a silly girl.

So much better! Amazing what good lighting, angles and focus can do! I can hardly believe I used the same Orly Gumdrop polish for both manicures. Sometimes when I do my nails I feel like I'm not going to be as good as the more popular nail art bloggers. However seeing this, I feel like I have come a long way, and look forward to seeing my skills grow even more.

Orly Snowcone

I'm sharing with you today one of my all time favorite colors from Orly. The always perfect Snowcone. Snowcone was part of Orly's 2010 Sweet Color spring collection. Each bottle was adorably paired with a mini lip gloss of matching color and flavor.

Color Club - Jingle Jangle   Orly - Snowcone

Snowcone is a perfect cornflower creme. (Cornflower was always my favorite Crayola color) Formula is a dream with perfect coverage in just one coat. Without a top coat Snowcone has a great gloss finish. I added a top coat to really enhance the shine.

For an added kick I paired Snowcone with Color Club's Jingle Jangle as an accent nail. Jingle Jangle is a clear base glitter with blue, green and purple round shaped glitters.
